Chicks have started to emerge from their shells for the first hatch of the year on our farm! The first chick to arrive was a silkie/cochin cross chick that we have waited almost two years to re-introduce to our farm after having lost an entire previous flock of this cross late 2018. The chick emerged from its shell sometime around 1:00AM on February 5, 2020 and quickly started cheeping loudly to the other eggs in the incubator to come out and play!
