Whew! Summer completely got away from us this year. We went straight from tulips and daffodils to trees already changing into their fall wardrobe and cooler temperature days slowly increasing.
They say time flies when you're having fun and we've had a whole lot of fun this season.
Our honeybees produced a rather sizeable harvest this year of honey and we tried our hand at making homemade mead (honey wine) and also sold about 40 pounds of the liquid gold. We also made a note that next year the number of hives have to be increased because we need more products from our buzzing friends.
The Mutha Clucka gathered some plantain weed from the field in late summer and, when mixed with the pure beeswax from the hives and raw shea butter with some vitamin E, there is now a new skin moisturizing/healing product getting ready to make an appearance just in time for the holidays along with an eggshell scrub that will help alleviate dry winter hands. Speaking of hitting the website and socials soon - your dog's favorite treat has hit another milestone to fame in being accepted into a gener8tor program called gBETA. Conversations are in the works for updated packaging, a new update to the website and more retail sites throughout Indiana becoming available by speaking with mentors and other connective folks.
